Ocular Prosthesis recipients are patients whose eye has been removed either by enucleation due to disease or traumatic injury and often replaced by an implant and fitted with an ocular prosthesis. An enucleation is the surgical removal of the eyeball. An ocular prosthetic is worn by a person whose eye has been removed.
